Yes, Bagan is beautiful and has its own charm; but it is much more than meets the eye. Bagan's history is the story of a kingdom it is growing history, monuments and intoxicating culture. Rich in tradition and really quiet, to enjoy a unique holiday and that they will never forget place. This cosmopolitan city has a host of the Asian continent, about 2,162 pagodas and temples of the golden age of Pagan largest historic structures.
Around this ancient city we can find, dry and dusty plains that are, despite the significant increase in the number of tourists, one of the attractions of this corner of Burma. Many of these temples are a stunning tribute to Buddhism, especially Theravada Buddhist temple, but otherwise there is nothing to indicate that was the heart of power, political and economic center of the great kingdom of Pagan.
None of the current characteristics of Bagan corresponds with generally associated with the idea of a city. By contrast, foreign Bagan seems to be nothing more than a village sparsely populated and covered with bamboo huts and wooden houses, but the fact is that extends over an area of 104 square kilometers and in each of its corners there is a monument only cultural, it is true that infrastructure leave something to be desired, but otherwise fully let us see how people lived in that city hundreds of years ago.
